My Hostid is Invalid

Overview

If you receive an error message that your HostID number is "invalid", it is because GAUSS requires that you have your ethernet adaptor be enabled. In GAUSS 15 and higher, a network or wireless adaptor will also work.

Solution

1. Enable your ethernet adaptor.
2. Find your new HostID.
