GAUSS must be installed in a location that has full read/write permissions.
- When I try to install GAUSS it crashes and I can't finish the installation.
Sometimes permission issues in Windows can cause GAUSS to crash during installation. - Make sure that you have the necessary permissions by installing as "Administrator" (right click on the *.msi installer) or install GAUSS in your User folder where you have full read/write privileges. - During the installation process, there is a box that says "Install for Everyone". Please check that box.
- When I try to start GAUSS, I receive an error pop-up message: "gauss.exe has stopped working" and it closes.
