GAUSS 26 Download & Activation Instructions

You are eligible to receive GAUSS 26! It has been posted directly to your download account.

Installation is easy. Simply follow these steps:

Download and Install GAUSS 26

1. Click the icon below corresponding to your operating system to start your download.

   

   Windows

   

   Mac

   

   Linux
2. Run the gauss.exe in the downloaded folder to install GAUSS 26. An installation dialog should appear. For best results:
   • Install GAUSS 26 in the suggested folder to avoid system conflicts and permissions issues. Installing GAUSS in the Windows Program Files Folder is not recommended.
   • On Windows, select "Install for Everyone" when prompted in the installer.

Migrate your GAUSS 26+ license key from GAUSS 25

Once you have installed GAUSS a license dialog box will appear. You can easily migrate your existing license file from your GAUSS 25 installation directory to GAUSS 26 on the same machine by doing the following:

1. Select the option to Import License File.

2. Browse to your gauss25 home directory and select the existing .lic file, it will look similar to actXYZDEF.lic.

3. Press NEXT to continue.

4. From within GAUSS click on Help>Check for Updates and install the latest version of GAUSS 26.

5. If you encounter an issue, email all of the following to our support team:

   • Take a screenshot of the Activation Window.

   • Press the DIAGNOSTIC button and email a screenshot..

   • Press the COPY button and paste the output in your email.

6. If you wish to transfer your GAUSS license to a new computer, contact [email protected].

7. If you have a Floating Network License, please contact [email protected].

New or nonactivated license keys

1. Start up GAUSS 26 by clicking on the desktop icon or run the gauss.exe in the downloaded folder to install GAUSS 26.

2. Copy and paste one of the License Activation Keys from your Order Processed email in the Activation Window. If you do not have this information, contact [email protected].

3. Press the NEXT button to start up GAUSS 26.

4. From within GAUSS click on Help>Check for Updates and install the latest version of GAUSS 26.

5. If you encounter an issue, email all of the following to our support team:

   • Take a screenshot of the Activation Window.

   • Press the DIAGNOSTIC button and email a screenshot..

   • Press the COPY button and paste the output in your email.

Install GAUSS packages

1. Start up GAUSS 26.

2. Go to Tools>Package Manager.

3. Refer to the online instructions, GAUSS Package Manager Basics., for comprehensive instructions for installing and using the GAUSS Package Manager.
