Q. My floating network license runs on the server, but not on the client machines. Why?

A. Please make sure that Flexlm is running as a service on your server computer. A second step is to open a command window on the client computer and run the command:

    telnet servername 27000

By default lmgrd listens on ports 27000 to 27009 if it is not specified. If you have a different port in use by your server, please use that port instead.

If the client cannot connect to the server and the service is running, then there is either a network issue or a server firewall issue.
