Gauss 13 and Acrobat Reader 10 incompatibility?

My employer recently upgraded to Windows 7 (64 bit). Since then, opening a pdf with Acrobat Reader 10.0 (32bit) results in a "Fatal error: Acrobat failed to load its core DLL". Our IT department thinks Gauss 13 (64 bit) is the culprit, since this behaviour only occurs on machines running Gauss 13. Is this a known incompatibility?

The first release of GAUSS 13 downloaded and installed the latest version of the Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 C++ runtime libraries during installation of GAUSS. We did receive a report of some Adobe products not starting after this happened. Though we could not reproduce this in-house. Since applications are almost always designed to work with a specific version of the C++ runtime or newer, this should not ever cause an issue. However, even so, more recent GAUSS 13 installers (including the current shipping release) do not download and install the C++ runtime and so, should not cause an issue.

These products will work together on the same machine. Reinstalling Adobe reader should resolve the problem. Let us know if it does not and our support department will assist you in resolving the issue.
